Patni Computer Systems Ltd, a major global IT and BPO services provider, has kicked off a new ITO delivery (development and support) centre in the Chinese Suzhou region.Located in the Suzhou Software & Technology Park (SSTP), the high-tech plant with a planned capacitance of 500 seats is the company's primary centre in the country.
As per release, the company's nowly opened Suzhou delivery centre would serve the Yangtze area, the biggest and one of the most highly developed manufacturing bases, for global firms.
The new centre will concentrate on delivering development and support services to cater to Japanese, US, European and local corporations.
While talking about the development, Mr. Jeya Kumar, Patni chief executive officer (CEO), stated, ''The launch of our new Suzhou centre is in line with our corporate strategy to focus on regional markets and adopt a truly global delivery model, to yield higher talent efficiencies."
"The Chinese outsourcing market possesses immense potential, both from a delivery and customer standpoint, and we are geared up to capitalise on this opportunity. We have seen a meteoric rise of China as a potent outsourcing destination owing to contributing factors such as cost and labour arbitrage, skilled workforce and robust infrastructure," Mr. Kumar added.
Mr. V Mathivanan, president (APAC) of the company said that they would deal with the changing customer dynamics of worldwide outsourcing via a sturdy local attendance and service clients from North America, Europe and APAC for growth plus support of projects.
The newly opened facility will systematically increase to its full capacity.
For the technology company, Suzhou has the benefit of being a cost-efficient destination with excellent accessibility to Tier I cities and a large and competent pool of talent adept in a range of computing skillsets.
